Peony

Welcome to the November 2022 full length tutorial!  This month we are painting a Peony, which is the birth flower for November.

Mindset TIP: Painting a complex subject doesn't have to be overwhelming. Try to ask yourself if you can use negative painting to make things quicker/easier. In this case we save a lot of time by using negative painting for the center of the Peony. If your subjects has a light colored center and darker surrounding petals you can often use negative painting instead of masking fluid.
