Lily of the Valley

Welcome to the May 2022 full length tutorial!  This month we are painting Lily of the Valley. Lily of the Valley is one of the birth flowers for May. This is a great opportunity to practice mixing neutrals for painting white flowers.

Mindset TIP:  If you feel like you do not get enough time to sit down and paint, try setting a timer for 15 -30 mins once a week.  Commit to painting without distraction for the duration of the timer. Give yourself the permission to completely focus on your painting, set aside all thoughts of housework, making dinner and "getting things done" during this time. If you cannot set aside 15 -30 mins, then set the timer for a shorter length of time. I often only have 15 - 20 mins at a time to work on my paintings.
